The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is set to launch at a press event on September 11 in China. The company has confirmed the arrival of the successor to last year’s Mi Mix on the social media platform Weibo. Although we still have 10 days to go for the arrival, not much is left to the imagination. There have been several leaks about the front and back panel’s design ahead of the launch.
Although there isn’t much of credible information available about the phone out there, the designer, Phillipe Starck, himself posted a conceptual product design video suggesting that the phone will have even slimmer bezels than its predecessor. Reports suggest that the phone might have an unprecedently 93% screen-to-body ratio. An image has also been shared alongside, showing off the top half of the phone, while leaving the bottom half in question, which suggests a somewhat different design around its chin area from the original Mi Mix. The phone is likely to have the original Mi Mix’s 6.4-Inch screen size. In terms of specifications, the phone might run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with up to 6GB RAM along with the MIUI9 based on Android Nougat.
The sale of the original Mi Mix was restricted to China. However, the Mi Mix 2 may. A post made by the Xiaomi’s VP teasing the smartphone ahead of its launch indicates the same. It’s been a while since Xiaomi has brought any major top-tier flagship phone to India, the Mi Mix 2 may be the next!
Furthermore, Xiaomi is also gearing up for the launch of a mystery dual camera smartphone on September 5 in India. Chances of Mi 5c launch are highly dubious. However, there is a little known about the upcoming smartphone of Xiaomi. There are chances that the smartphone could be an Android One based phone- codenamed the Xiaomi A1. It is said to be a revamped version of the Mi 5X running the latest stock Android ROM.
