We already revealed a few insider leaks about Xiaomi’s Note 5A smartphone earlier. As expected, they didn’t make any delay in releasing the successor to their successful Note 4 series.
Xiaomi has launched Note 5A in three variants; one base and two high-end. Of course, they have made modifications on the variants. Let’s have a look at what they have come up with.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A; Features and Release Date
The company launched the smartphone in China today. The launches in other markets are yet to take place.
As you read above, the smartphone comes in three variants. The base variant priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 6,700) doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. It has 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. You can expand the storage up to 128 GB by swapping an external SD card into its dedicated slot. The display is 5.5-inch in size and has 720x 1280 resolution. The rear facing camera packs in a 13-megapixel sensor with LED flash. When it comes to front camera, it only has a 5 MP sensor. Everything is powered by Snapdragon 425 chipset from a 3080 mAh battery.
The high-end variants sport Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB respectively. Unlike the base version, this one has a 13 MP camera on the front. They are priced at CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 8,600) and CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 11,500) subsequently.
All the three variants are available in three colors; Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver. And, you won’t be getting a dual camera setup with any of these phones. Moreover, the smartphones also feature USB-Type C port and 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The company launched the device only in China. If you really want this device, you can order it from JD.com or Mi.com. It will go on sale from on Tuesday (22/08/2017).
