Just like WhatsApp, Facebook is also going to make it easy for the users to transfer money via UPI. But the discussions NCPI have with Facebook are still in the preliminary stage. So, we can expect WhatsApp to come up with UPI payment feature before Facebook.
Facebook Messenger already has a peer to peer payment system. The truth is we can’t use it everywhere as they made it limited to the US users only. Hence, it will surely assist WhatsApp to widen their horizon if they actually make the feature live for the regular audiences.
Unified Payments Interface aka UPI helps people transfer money without account numbers or IFSC code. All you need is the UPI address. Once you have it, you can use it to make the payment and the person on the other end can receive it without much delay.
