The Chinese flagship, OnePlus 5, which was globally launched on Tuesday, is going to be unveiled today in India at 2 pm IST and the same will be live streamed on YouTube. You can check out the same on Youtube:
Although the features were unveiled in the global launch itself, the big question in the Indian launch will be its price in India. The fans will be looking forward to an affordable smartphone with flagship features. As per the leaks and reports, the estimated cost of the OnePlus5 will be around 32,999 for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 37,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. These figures are just to give you a fair idea. The exact price will be told in the launch itself.
The smartphone will be up for sale at 4:30 pm IST at Amazon India. You can also grab one offline by going to OnePlus popup events going to be held in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai over the next two days.
The OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei, has claimed OnePlus 5 to be the company’s fastest-selling smartphone. However, the company hasn’t provided the exact number to support the claim.
The phone aspires to be the next flagship killer and has premium features largely based on the footprints of iPhone 7 plus. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Optic AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is a 2.5D curved display. Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC powers it along with the Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Dual camera setup has also been spotted on the OnePlus 5 with a 16MP primary sensor coupled with a 20MP telephoto camera. Several other improvements have been made over the company’s previous flagship, the OnePlus 3T. Let’s see if it wouls able to entice the Indian market.
