One of the most anticipated smartphones currently, OnePlus 5 recently unveiled its design through social media platforms.
The picture suggests that the smartphone will resemble iPhone 7 in terms of design. The phone sports a horizontal dual camera on the top-left corner at the back along with the flash sitting just next to it. Quite much like a carbon copy of the iPhone 7 Plus.
The fans seem to be unhappy with the design. Although the design isn’t bad, no one expected OnePlus to follow Apple so closely in its footsteps. Moreover, people might fear getting teased by Apple Maniacs.
The global launch of the smartphone is supposed to be held on June 20. However, it will make its way in the Indian market on June 22. The India launch will happen at Mumbai at 2 pm. You can also register on their website and get a chance to win the OnePlus 5 for yourself!
Other leaks suggest that the smartphone will have a 5.5-Inch Full HD display and a dual rear camera setup on the back. The latest Android Nougat version 7.1.1 will power the smartphone. The Antutu listing states that it will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. Other details include a 16 MP rear as well as the front camera. It is expected to be priced around 35,000.
However, chances are there that the image was officially leaked just to create a hype and you might get to see a whole different smartphone altogether as the Amazon teaser tells a different story about the design.
No matter if the design is inspired from iPhone 7 Plus or not, the OnePlus five is surely going to rock the market and set benchmarks for leading smartphone makers just like it did last year with its OnePlus 3T.
Recently, Micromax was caught rebranding Wiko U Feel Prime, will it be OnePlus next? We’ll get to know about it very soon.
