ZTE’s brand Nubia announced the Nubia M2 back in March, a smartphone that boasts a dual rear camera setup. Last week, it launched in India too. The smartphone went on sale on Monday for the first time during the Amazon Prime Day sale. However, the smartphone was available only for Amazon Prime subscribers. The phone will now be going on open sale for everyone this Thursday for non-Prime users as well. It will be available in two color variants- Champagne Gold and Black Gold. Although the smartphone comes in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB, only 64GB inbuilt storage variant will be available in India. It is priced at Rs. 22,999.
Regarding specs, the phone comes with a 5.5 inch full-HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It runs on Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It houses a 3630 mAh battery enough to last for a day on moderate usage. It also supports NewPower 2.5 fast charging. In terms of UI, the phone runs on Android Marshmallow based Nubia UI 4.0.
One of the highlights of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup. It sports two identical 13MP Sony CMOS sensors; one is an RGB sensor and the other a monochrome one. It also has a depth of field calculator which is supported by a dual ISP engine. Besides all this, ZTE has also used an exclusive NEO Vision technology to help reduce noise while capturing pictures even in low lighting conditions. The even bigger 16MP front camera can capture amazing selfies. With a thickness of 7.00mm, the phone is said to be the thinnest amongst those having a dual rear camera setup.
