We have seen a lot of phones with smaller bezels this year. The indigenous phone manufacturer Micromax is the last to step into this near bezel-less bandwagon. The company launched Canvas Infinity yesterday.
The main feature of the smartphone is the display itself. Following the footsteps of Samsung and LG, Micromax has opted for an 18:9 FullVision display on Canvas Infinity.
Micromax Canvas Infinity Launched; Features and Release Date
Micromax has been out of talks from the world of gadget enthusiasts since long. But they want to capture the market as Canvas Infinity is the only smartphone available in India under 10,000 INR with 18:9 aspect ratio.
The phone features a metal body with a fingerprint scanner on the back. Up front, it has a 5.7-inch HD display. Irrespective of the screen size, it doesn’t feel too wide. Thanks to the near bezel-less design and the aspect ratio.
Underneath the hood, the specifications get a bit disappointing. The phone only has a quad core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with a 3GB RAM. Though the internal storage is 32 GB, you can expand it up to 128 GB using an external SD card. The battery capacity is 2900 mAh.

Barring the screen, the next big thing about Canvas Infinity is its selfie camera. With a 16 MP sensor and a soft selfie flash, it has geared up to captivate the minds of selfie buffs. The rear camera sports a 13 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. You can apply real-time bokeh effect and even adjust the focus once you capture the image.
The phone will go on sale as an Amazon exclusive from September 1. Still, you can register for the sale to make sure you get the device.
At the launch event, the company announced a 24-hour customer promise along with Android 8.0 Oreo availability. We need to wait and see how they are going to stick to their words.
