LG released the first smartphone with 18:9 screen-to-body ratio on G6. But they couldn’t keep up with the competition as Samsung knocked the socks off with their S8 and S8 Plus. The main reason behind G6’s underperformance in the market is considered to be the lack of the latest flagship processor.
LG is all set to launch their next flagship smartphone of the year, V30. According to the leaks, they might launch it on August 31 with a second variant V30 Plus.
LG to Launch V30 with the Widest Aperture Camera Lens
LG’s V series always gave preference to the multimedia performance, be it camera or audio. We are hearing this year’s V phone will do the same with its widest aperture.
Yes, V30 will be the first phone to come with a camera lens of f/1.6 aperture. It will let more light crawl into the camera and allow us to take clear pictures even in the low light. Going with the bandwagon, LG will also include a dual camera setup on V30. We expect the selfie camera can have a 5 MP sensor.
Much like the previous flagship from LG, they won’t be going back from near bezel-less display for V30 as well. The company already revealed the phone to feature a 6-inch FullVision display.

Underneath the hood, we don’t see any reason for LG to ditch Snapdragon 835. Most probably, they will integrate a 6 GB RAM into the phone. The newest rumors point to the possibility of the company coming with two variants; the regular version with 64 GB storage and a Plus variant with 128 GB storage.
We hope the battery capacity remains the same as that of LG G6, which came with a 3300 mAh power juice.
Recently, the software renders of V30 went public. And, it shows V30 might not have the second screen on the top, but it sports a floating bar.
