Honor 9 Makes its Way in the Europe

Huawei launched its newest flagship, the Honor 9, in China just a couple of weeks ago. The phone has now made its way to Europe as well. Honor revealed information on global availability and pricing today, at a launch event in Berlin.

Honor has been one of the reliable brands to consider when it comes to mid-level smartphones. Last year, Honor 8 was the most popular device from Huawei with a striking design and seriously competitive performance at a reasonable price point of $349 only. It was considered a beautiful and cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S7.

The new flagship, Honor 9, is built on the well-received Honor 8 with an improved design and hardware upgrades across the board- while still keeping the affordable price tag. The signature glass body is still kept intact which makes this smartphone stand out from the rest. This cracking mid-range smartphone is surely a tempting offer for budget-conscious buyers!

The smartphone comes with a 5.15-inch, Full HD, 2.5D curved display which is plenty sharp. It packs a Kirin 960 octa-core chipset (4×2.4 GHz+4×1.8 GHz) found in other high-end Honor flagships too. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top. The 3,200 mAh battery keeps it running all day long.

Like its predecessor, the Honor 9 embodies aluminum and glass, with a subtly more curved back panel giving it a premium touch. The smartphones boast the curved back panel made of 15 layers of glass which gives it a uniquely lustrous finish. The fingerprint sensor is now shifted to the front.

The Huawei tradition of dual camera setup can be seen in the Honor 9 as well. The smartphone has 12MP and 20MP dual rear cameras. Camera quality is one of the highlights of every Honor smartphone. The phone has excellent camera capabilities and can take perfect shots even in low light conditions. The 8MP front-facing camera is no less!

The smartphone is available in 2 variants. The UK will receive the 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage variant while the rest of the Europe will get a slightly upgraded 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. Pricing starts from £379.99 (Rs. 31,298 approx) in the UK and €449.99 (Rs 32,743 approx) in the rest of Europe. It will be available in three vibrant color options: Sapphire Blue, Glacier Grey, and Midnight Black.

We can expect the same to be launched in India in the coming months.
