Samsung launched their flagships of the year Galaxy S8 and S8+ earlier in March. The smartphones captured the minds of every gadget enthusiast with the infinity display and a pretty amazing camera despite not having a dual setup.
It looks like they don’t want to stop releasing the smartphones of the same series. The new one, Galaxy S8 Active appeared on the Chinese website Weibo. Moreover, Android Police unveiled S8 Active training manual Samsung has published for its employees.
Galaxy S8 Active Specifications Leaked
Taking the leaked information into consideration, both the regular S8 and the Active variant shares a similar spec sheet barring a few differences, the significant one of them having a 4000 mAh battery instead of a 3000 mAh one present on the regular Galaxy S8. And, the S8 Active will be a rugged smartphone with a slightly bulky form factor.
According to the leaks, S8 Active will sport a 5.8 inch super AMOLED display with 2960×1440 pixel resolution. And, the flagship processor of 2017, Snapdragon 835 will power up the device coupled with 4 GB RAM. We have not received any details about the S8 Active coming in different storage variants. It is expected to only come with 64 GB internal storage. There will be a 12 and 8 MP sensor for the camera on the back and front respectively.
Much like the regular S8, the Active variant will also sport a dedicated Bixby button near the volume rockers. The disappointing fact is that the smartphone will not run on top of latest Android Nougat 7.1 but 7.0.
