Asus is formally going to announce its next-generation of Zenfones, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro at a launch event on August 17, 2017, at a launch event going to be held in Taiwan. Prior to this, Roland Quandt, a reliable leaker, has revealed the specifications and pricing of both the smartphones on his official Twitter handle. Over that, the Asus official website for France too has revealed the key information about both the devices by listing them on the website. As there is nothing left to the imagination in the process, we will straight away head over to the features of the device and major upgrades over the Asus Zenfone 3.
Both the phones feature an all metal body design with a fingerprint scanner mounted at the front, a 5.5 Inch Full HD display and Dual SIM slots along with an extra slot for the MicroSD. Also, they come along with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The rear camera on both the devices are of 16MP and both of them houses a 3,000 mAh battery on the inside.
The highlight of both the Zenfone 4 Selfie and the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is the fact that they come with dual cameras on the front thereby justifying their naming convention. Although the devices appear to be one and the same from outside, there are some major differences in the interior. The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro appears to be the better-equipped variant of the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie.
Coming to the differences, the Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with a 20MP + 8MP selfie shooter combo and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. It comes with a regular IPS screen. On the other hand, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro has a better 24MP + 5MP front camera. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and is shipped with an AMOLED panel.
It is expected that the Zenfone 4 Selfie will launch at a price point somewhere around Rs 24,000 while the Zenfone 4 Seflie Pro might cost around Rs. 32,000. It is also expected that the lineup will have at least 5 variants.
